Sebastian is a black belt in Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has been coaching since 2017. He is passionate about seeing people of all ages and skill levels develop their abilities on the mats.

He began training judo in his early teens and decided to take it up full-time after graduating from Cambridge university. He was a member of the British team and has competed and medaled nationally and internationally.

Sebastian took up BJJ alongside his Judo in 2012 and has medals at every belt level including British, European and Asian titles.

In 2020 he decided to go back to university to study medicine, and he is currently coaching alongside his work as a foundation doctor. It will come as no surprise then that he is also our lead first aider!
 

Head of sales by day, resident brown belt by night, T could sell ice to an Eskimo, and he will soon have you believing that there is no purer position in jiu jitsu than closed guard.

Always one to lead from the front, he is first to take newcomers under his wing to build their confidence and show them the ropes, as well first to sign up to the next competition and as a result he has quickly become our most prolific medallist. 

Born in South London to Somali-Kenyan parents, Nass started practicing BJJ in 2015 by accident after missing the free trial class for Muay Thai. He found himself completely humbled by a much lighter and more technical training partner, which motivated him all the more to come back.

Since then he has travelled the world to train with the best and share his insights with us along the way. Off the mats Nass is a start up co-founder in the EdTech world in the US, and a champion of the Somali tradition that adding a banana to any dish will elevate it immeasurably.

Big Al is the Persian pomegranate molasses that binds this team together. He is our resident IT wizard, organiser of socials, your biggest cheerleader at competitions and, if you ask nicely, he’ll even show you a sneaky wrist lock or two.
